Free at last

What is a fault for someone, may be right for someone else. But there are certain things that are absolute. For instance, smoking, drugs and alcohol are 'Bad' in everyone's eyes. Studying, music and sports are considered good by everyone. But there are some things which have evolved through the ages......

Love???? In the past, it was considered a taboo. But consider our generation, it started from being a fashion statement to a luxury. As time progresses, and with the amount of desperation I can see in my hostel, it is slowly being converted into a necessity.

Thus when my friend proposed to a girl sometime back, he was taken aback by the response. The girl, who was his childhood crush and schoolmate, abruptly refused. Heartbroken and dejected, when he asked for his friendship again, she refused to talk........

Days passed by. He got more anxious and couldnt concentrate on anything. He prayed and prayed, till he got tired of it. Being a well wisher, I told him to ignore it. But he didn't, and ultimately spoilt his mid sems (Spoilt according to him, is a 10 in maths and 8 in physics!!!!).

Yesterday a miracle occured. The girl talked with him over the phone. It all started with 'Happy Diwali', and ended on a happy note altogether. Now he is on cloud nine, ready to take on anything. It just charged him up. He plans to rock the end sems. Everything seems so changed to him.

Which just made me wonder, Is love so powerful? What happened in between the proposal? How emotions change a man..... The whole angle is too complicated..... I can't understand any of it...............

  1. The world's a relative place man! Nothing's absolute!(Ask a chain smoker if smoking is good or bad!)
And so far as your friend is concerned, he is not the only one to have those kind of 'charging'!
